| WildFlower Princess
The sun glistened in her long flowing hair,
As she ran through the field of wild flowers.
He could see her just a short way in front of him.
He could hear her cute giggle each time,
She would turn around to see how close he was.
He just wanted to catch her,
Kiss her,
Hold her,
Love her.
He had never been blessed enough,
To find the one that completed him,
The one he was meant for,
Until she came along.
Different from the rest in so many ways,
The first time he felt as if he could
Truly find happiness.
When she was in his arms
Everything was beautiful and right,
And there were no questions in his mind
That they were meant to be.
She was his little wildflower princess.

| My sweet mini schnauzer, Miss Maxie, had her follow up yesterday at Upstate Veterinary Specialists. She ended chemo in Dec of last year, but had been on follow up treatments until May. So we went for a visit yesterday and they say everything is looking ok. Seems like we will just have to go for a couple of months more to get checkups and then we will be done. Maxie has been battling this since last July. I'm sure she's happy that it's almost over, except she really does like to go visit Dr Sarah and Kelly and the other girls in the office. They make such a big deal when she gets there, and I really think they caused her to be even more spoiled than she already is. Yeah, like that is really possible.

Maxie, tuesday after getting her faced washed

From back in November, This is Kelly (holding maxie), Jenna, and the ever so cute Dr Ivan.
He was Maxie's doc sometimes, they used to have a rotating schedule but now they don't. We just don't have a pic of her and Dr. Sarah together.
Finally I think all us human folks are feeling better too. The only thing is my voice is still whacky. Wake up most mornings and I really don't have a voice. Not sure what is going on there.
| Wow it's been a busy few weeks. I've been sick with a cold for about 3 weeks, so last friday I decided, I had to go to the doc. Turns out my not so innocent cold had turned into a raging sinus infection. Fun fun let me tell ya. I think I'm beginning to feel some what like my normal self now. Just hoping this cough starts to go away soon too.
Also last friday night, Granny went to the bathroom around 10:30 pm and then back to bed. Well at 11:15 she got up and came and told us she was having chest pains and she might need to go to the hospital. So my mother, not being so good at keeping her cool in times of crisis, gets up and starts rushing around. I on the other hand start gather stuff I know we will need like Granny's info and meds and I heard Granny into the kitchen so the paramedics don't have to come too far in the house. She ended up having a mild heart attack, and stayed in the hospital until Tuesday. They did a couple of tests, but decided to not to the one where they go in and see how blocked your arteries are. At her age, she will be 91 on 8/2, they think we can best control this with different medicines. We aren't really sure what caused this, she's also been sick and on antibiotics as well, and her last sibling, her sister Pearl, died on Wednesday of last week. So she spent Friday going to a family viewing and then to receiving friends, and was really just tired and stressed. Not sure if either of those paid part in this.
My sweet mother had a birthday on 7/20, and we celebrated by ordering her a triple chocolate mouse cake from McFarlans Bakery in Hendersonville. I have to say this cake was amazing. It's chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate mouse in between the layers and on the outside and top of it, then it has cake crumbs that completely cover the mouse. Then on top they cover it with white chocolate and chocolate shavings. Sooooo very scrumptious!

While we were up there, we also picked up some other goodies. Mom and I got wagon wheels, and Granny got an éclair. If you have never had a wagon wheel, they are completely to die for. It's a piece of chocolate cake covered with whipped topping and then dipped in chocolate. Seriously this has to be the best dessert I've ever eaten.

| Had to go to the DMV to renew my license. Well I went with my mother who had to have hers done before tomorrow, and I just chose to go ahead and take care of mine instead of going back in September. Anyhoo, after sitting there for what seemed to me as 4 hours (in reality it was only an hour and half), I started noticing exactly how many people wear nasty crappy looking flip flops now. Now don't get me wrong, I love me some flip flops, but I guess you could say I'm a flip flop snob. I usually wear them just for a summer season, or two, and then replace them. You will never catch me in grimy, filthy, scuzzy looking flip flops. I mean hey, I am one of these girly girls who does primp before going out. And maybe it's not so much the icky trashy looking flip flops, but more so these people's feet that are all nasty looking that grosses me out. I assume they take showers, so you'd think their feet wouldn't be 5 shades darker than the rest of their body right? Maybe I'm wrong to assume about the shower.
Also after sitting there, I started realizing how many people who are driving are actually morons and are probably the last people on earth that need to have a drivers license. You walk in the door at our dmv and you have this little brown carpet that's roped off and a sign that clearly announces to PLEASE WAIT HERE. It's a good distance from the desk the little dude sits at so he can have a conversation with the person at the desk without everyone and their cousin twice removed hearing about it. A good portion of the people that walked in either didn't know how to read, didn't have very good eyesight, or just didn't think they were part of the general public and that the sign just didn't pertain to them. And yet, they are on the road driving? I'm again assuming that they know they do have to stop at the red stop signs. Case in point, this man and his teenage daughter come in, and instead of stopping at the sign and waiting to be called, they rushed on up to the desk. There was a man standing there talking to the receptionist dude and when he was finished he backed up to turn around to walk off. Well when he did this, he pretty much walked all over the daughter. The father kinda threw his hand up to push the guy away and I'm sitting there thinking, well yeah, hello, the guy didn't know you were back there and further more you shouldn't have been back there. Needless to say I was very happy when they called my number to be waited on.
| There's something so strangely comforting about being back here. I had stopped writing because I felt I had nothing left to say. And I've missed this outlet of just releasing my feelings and thoughts. So here I am again. I've changed all my older posts to protected or private, but feel free to ask to be on the protected list. Just wanted a fresh start, or at least an attempt at one. | | |
